Cookie Policy

Last updated: May 9, 2026

This is a working draft. The final version will be reviewed by counsel before public launch.

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which cookies Jobico uses, and how you can control them.

What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember information about your visit - such as your login session or language preference - so you do not have to re-enter it each time. Cookies do not contain executable code and cannot access other files on your device.

Cookies We Use

Jobico uses only essential and functional cookies. We do not currently use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies.

  • next-auth.session-token - stores your authenticated session. Essential for login to work. Expires when you sign out or after 30 days of inactivity.
  • next-auth.csrf-token - protects against cross-site request forgery attacks. Essential for security. Session-scoped.
  • NEXT_LOCALE - remembers your chosen language (uk or en). Functional. Expires after 1 year.
  • theme - remembers your preferred color theme (light or dark). Functional. Expires after 1 year.

Because all cookies we set are essential or functional, we do not display a cookie consent banner for our own cookies. If we add non-essential cookies in the future, we will update this policy and add a consent mechanism.

Third-Party Cookies

When you sign in using Google, GitHub, or LinkedIn OAuth, those providers may set their own cookies on your device during the authentication flow. These cookies are governed by each provider's own privacy and cookie policies, not ours.

Jobico does not control third-party cookies and is not responsible for the data practices of those providers. We recommend reviewing their policies if you have concerns.

Managing Cookies

You can configure your browser to block, delete, or alert you about cookies. Most browsers provide these controls in their privacy or settings menu. Instructions vary by browser; refer to your browser's help documentation.

Blocking essential cookies (next-auth.session-token, next-auth.csrf-token) will prevent you from logging in to Jobico. Blocking functional cookies (NEXT_LOCALE, theme) means your language and theme preferences will not be saved between visits. If you have questions about cookies, contact hello@jobico.app.
