Firmware Engineer

Domain: Physical access control / smart lock hardware — embedded firmware development for a security-focused client in the door hardware and access control industry.

Scope: Firmware development for battery-powered, wirelessly connected lock/access-control devices, covering low-level peripheral control, secure credential handling (BLE/NFC-based mobile and card access), and integration with cloud reporting/OTA infrastructure.

• 2+ years of professional experience

• BS in CS/EE/CE or equivalent practical experience

• Strong C/C++ for microcontrollers

• Peripheral-level work — I2C, SPI, UART, GPIO

• Debugging tooling — JTAG/SWD, logic analyzer, oscilloscope

• Git-based workflow, code review discipline

• English B1+

• Willingness to work closely with the firmware & hardware team

• Participate and communicate politely at daily meetings (minimum 1-2 hours per day)

• Comfortable working in a distributed team across time zones

• Develop firmware for microcontrollers
• Support board bring-up and low-level debugging
• Optimize firmware for performance, reliability, and power efficiency
• Contribute to firmware architecture and coding standards
• Work closely with the technical writer to ensure the code is properly documented
