Junior Manual QA Engineer

Streamline builds an AI-powered supply chain planning platform used by more than 2,000 companies worldwide. It’s a mature product with complex planning logic, AI capabilities, and plenty of technical decisions that still need better answers. 

We’re looking for a Junior Manual QA Engineer to join our team and support the delivery of a high-quality web-based product. Here, you’ll have a say in how things are built, take ideas all the way to production, and see whether your decisions hold up there.

Requirements 

• At least one year of experience in software testing of web-based applications.

• English proficiency at B1 level or higher.

• Basic understanding of version control systems, such as Git.

• Knowledge of HTTP request methods and status codes, and an understanding of how they function in web applications.

• Practical experience with browser development tools, such as Chrome DevTools.

• Deep understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC).

• Experience with API testing tools, such as Postman or Insomnia.

• Completed Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, such as Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics. This is a mandatory requirement.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough testing of new functionality during the implementation phase to ensure high-quality deliverables.

• Identify, document, and test defects, ensuring they are resolved in a timely manner.

• Participate in smoke and regression testing to verify overall system integrity and quality.

• Develop and review test documentation, including checklists, test cases, and acceptance criteria, to ensure comprehensive coverage.

• Perform API testing using Postman to validate request and response behaviour and ensure backend functionality works as expected.

• Gather and analyse requirements for new and existing functionality, contributing to the knowledge base and improving product understanding.

Nice to have

• Experience with test documentation management tools, such as TestRail or Qase.

• Knowledge of project management platforms, such as Jira, Trello, or Rally.

• Knowledge of test case development techniques to improve testing efficiency and effectiveness.

• Strong soft skills, including communication and problem-solving abilities.
