Middle Business Analyst

At Jiris, we're on a mission to change how homecare agencies run their day-to-day work. Our platform covers everything from scheduling visits and verifying them in real time (EVV) to billing, payroll, and handling medical documentation. For coordinators in the office, we build powerful web tools. For caregivers in the field, we design simple, intuitive mobile apps. The result: agencies save time, communication becomes clearer, and patients get better care.

We're looking for a Middle Business Analyst to join our growing BA team. You'll work closely with our Lead BA to turn requests from home care agencies into clear requirements - covering everything from scheduling and EVV to billing and compliance workflows. If you like digging into how a real operational business works and turning that into specs a dev team can build from, this role could be a great fit.

• 3+ years of Business Analyst experience in IT
• Demonstrated ability to independently model business logic (state machines, transition matrices, entity relationships and dependencies for a real, non-trivial process)
• Experience gathering and documenting requirements: user stories, process flows, acceptance criteria
• Comfortable running requirement-gathering conversations with stakeholders (internal or client-side)
• Experience with process or data modeling (BPMN, UML, or similar)
• Conversational English - comfortable joining and contributing to client calls
• Analytical mindset, comfortable working from ambiguous or incomplete requests, and proactive about surfacing edge cases and compliance risks early rather than after the fact

• Gather and document requirements for product features across scheduling, billing, compliance, and reporting workflows
• Work out the underlying business logic before writing specs (state transitions, entity relationships, dependencies). so the spec reflects how the process actually behaves, not just what was asked
• Write clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and process documentation
• Use AI-assisted tools to turn finalized specs into prototypes or working code where useful
• Participate in stakeholder and client calls to clarify and validate requirements
• Maintain and organize requirements following the team's process
• Flag ambiguities, edge cases, and compliance risks (e.g. healthcare regulation) early, as part of the initial analysis

• Healthcare or health-tech domain background - home care, EVV, medical billing, or Medicaid systems
• Familiarity with HIPAA or other healthcare compliance/regulatory frameworks
• Fluent (rather than just conversational) English
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development or spec tools
