Company: SAGA Alliance is a German holding/alliance that invests in and develops businesses in the pop culture industry, particularly board and card games.
Project: a B2B web e-commerce application, a long-term project which focuses on clean architecture, code quality, and system stability.
Team: 9 people (CTO, 2 QA, 6 developers, BA joining soon).
Tech stack: PHP 8.0 (Laravel), PostgreSQL, Angular + Typescript.
Tools: Atlassian products Jira, BitBucket, Confluence
Approximate split: 85% backend (Laravel) and 15% frontend.
Requirements
7 years of commercial PHP software development experience
4+ years of commercial experience with Laravel on recent projects
Experience with PostgreSQL
Experience with Design Patterns
Experience with CQRS and DDD principles
Understanding of event-driven architecture
Understanding of full-stack web development
Ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code
High level of independence and responsibility
Higher education in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
Responsibilities
- Development and support of a B2B web application
- Backend development with PHP and Laravel
- Implementation of business logic and domain models
- Development and support of REST APIs
- Working with PostgreSQL databases
- Taking part in architecture decisions and code reviews
- Working together with the frontend part of the application
Nice to Have
- Experience with frontend technologies: Angular and/or TypeScript
- Experience with queues and asynchronous processing
- Experience with integration of third-party services and APIs
- Understanding of UX principles for B2B products
