Senior QA Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a General QA Engineer with a focus on  automation and manual testing. The role involves ensuring product quality across functional, API, automation, and performance testing, as well as maintaining and improving automated test coverage. You will also have an opportunity to leverage AI tools to support test creation and improve QA processes. The company operates in the FinTech industry and specializes in alternative investments.

Role Responsibilities

• This isn't a full-time Automation QA position. It's more a General QA role with a focus on manual testing. Automation is part of the role as well, including AI-generated tests where appropriate.

• Integration of automated test suites with the current build and deployment processes.

• Maintenance of automated tests to accommodate changes in system design and architecture.

• Integration of Automation framework with existing tools (JIRA).

• Create/Manage/Utilize Defect workflows with automated test execution.

• Design and publish meaningful metrics to support automation test creation and execution.

• Build and implementation of performance test suites.

• Perform all types of testing – Functional, API, Automation, Manual and Load, including necessary manual validation where required.

Role Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with QA engineering delivery experience

• 4+ years of delivery within Agile SDLC/teams ideally with CICD

• Programming experience in Java with focus on behavior driven development (BDD) and test-driven development (TDD) and design patterns, ideally within continuous integration (CICD), including hands-on experience for backend automation

• Experience with Java microservices and REST APIs and exposure to React front end

• Strong experience in data engineering, including data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and big data processing

• Hands-on experience with Apache Spark, Databricks, and distributed computing environments

• Experience designing and implementing streaming data processing solutions and scalable data platforms

• Experience with Playwright and TypeScript

• Agile development approach

• CICD: Maven, Sonar, Git, Teamcity/Jenkins, Docker

• AI Integration experience preferred

• Exposure to banking and/or finance environments preferred

• Strong communication skills: English B2+

• Technical Interview (90 minutes)

• Call with Tech Lead (30 minutes) 

• Client’s Interview (60 mins)
