Strong Middle DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a Strong Middle/Senior DevOps Engineer to join our professional and dynamic team to
contribute to exciting and challenging projects.

The platform is a high-traffic web service handling tens of millions of requests per day, with a data pipeline processing 50M+ user events daily that feeds both customer-facing analytics and billing. It runs on self-managed infrastructure across two datacenters, with a mix of long-lived legacy components and an active modernization program. 

Key Responsibilities:
● Collaborate closely with developers to prototype and design new infrastructure and
platform features.
● Deploy, install, configure, and maintain sophisticated client software across various
environments.
● Build and maintain CI/CD jobs and pipelines.
● Make key decisions to ensure systems' scalability, reliability, and accessibility.
● Install and manage both in-house-developed and widely used monitoring systems.
● Design, deploy, and configure cloud-based servers; provision networks and storage;
and manage firewalls, VPNs, and monitoring tools.
● Administer Linux/Cloud infrastructure, including installation, configuration, and
maintenance.
● Stay up to date on technology trends and identify promising solutions that meet the
company's requirements.
● Create technical support documentation and provide hands-on troubleshooting and
consulting to customers.

Qualifications:

Must-have skills:
● At least 4 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer.
● Experience with microservices architecture.
● Experience in scaling secure infrastructures with no single points of failure.
● Strong experience with OS-level administration on Linux and UNIX systems
(FreeBSD, Debian, Ubuntu, CentOS, etc.).
● Hands-on scripting experience with Bash, Python, or Go.
● Experience with Infrastructure as Code and tools such as Terraform, Terragrunt,
Terraform Enterprise, and AWS CloudFormation.
● Experience with Configuration as Code and tools like Ansible, AWX.
● Experience with container orchestration platforms - Kubernetes (on-premise self-
hosted / cloud-based cluster deployments)
● In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP and the ISO/OSI stack.
● Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Loki, Zabbix,
Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, Grafana, and Kibana.
● Experience with cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
● Experience with bare-metal servers and on-premises infrastructure.
● Proven ability to establish and improve monitoring, logging, and alerting frameworks
to quickly detect and resolve issues.
● Experience working with web servers and proxies such as Apache, Nginx, HAProxy,
Envoy.
● Experience with queue brokers like RabbitMQ.
● Experience in deploying and managing PHP applications.
● Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI,
BitBucket Pipelines, etc.
● Understanding of GitOps principles and experience with ArgoCD / Argo Workflows
tools.
● Experience with Redis.
● Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL / MySQL /
MariaDB, and Elasticsearch/OpenSearch.
● Strong problem-solving skills with code and scripting.
● Ability to read and analyze errors effectively.
● Proficiency in English (B2+).

Nice-to-have skills:
● Experience with FreeBSD administration in a production environment.
● CKA/CKAD or other Kubernetes-related certification would be a significant plus.
