Growica is an affiliate company working in the iGaming niche.
Our core focus is building and developing affiliate websites. We are now launching a new news vertical, Sports & Esports/Gaming Media, and we are looking for a Head of Sports Content / Chief Editor to lead one of its directions: Sports.
About the project
This is a media vertical launch from scratch: you will build the editorial processes, content strategy, and team. You’ll have a lot of freedom in decision-making and minimal bureaucracy.
What you will do
Shape the editorial strategy and content plan for the direction.
Manage a team of journalists and editors: hire, onboard, and develop them.
Oversee content quality and bear final editorial responsibility for publications.
Introduce editorial standards and quality control processes.
Monitor the news landscape and respond promptly to news triggers:
Sports: sports news and events.
Work with the SEO team to grow organic traffic.
Analyze content performance and make data-driven decisions.
What we expect
Experience managing an editorial team or content team in the Sports niche.
Experience in digital media for Western markets (sports publishers with an English-speaking audience).
Experience working with a Tier-1 audience and English-speaking editors, journalists, or content teams.
Hands-on experience building and scaling content processes.
Understanding of SEO principles for news websites.
Experience using AI tools for content.
English B2+.
