Senior AI Architect
Опис
Atlas Technica is a leading managed services and technology firm serving hedge funds, private equity firms, family offices, and other alternative investment businesses. We design, secure, and operate the technology platforms behind highly regulated firms where confidentiality, availability, and trust are non-negotiable.
Atlas is expanding from traditional managed services into managed intelligence. Our AI & Advisory practice helps clients adopt generative AI, build agentic workflows, and move internal prototypes toward secure production use without losing control of proprietary data, identity, permissions, cost, or compliance.
We are seeking a Senior AI Architect to become the senior architecture leader for Atlas's Ukraine-based AI capability. This person will report directly to the Principal AI Architect and work closely with the Global Head of AI & Advisory.
This is a hands-on architecture and client leadership role. You will lead selected client engagements, guide AI Engineers, and turn uncertain business and technical requirements into secure, practical designs. Over time, you will become the architecture lead for Atlas's offshore AI Center of Excellence, helping establish its standards, delivery methods, technical review practices, and talent model.
You will also be closely involved in designing Atlas's AI lab and test environments with the Principal AI Architect and Global Head of AI & Advisory. You will help determine what Atlas should test, how it should be validated, and when a pattern is ready to be used with clients. You will not own the overall AI lab or the entire AI practice.
This is not a role for someone who only produces diagrams or manages technical teams. The right candidate still reviews code, tests assumptions, troubleshoots integrations, and can step into implementation when the problem demands it.
Вимоги
- 10+ years in software, cloud, data, security, or solution architecture, including at least 5 years leading complex architecture decisions.
- Hands-on experience designing and delivering production AI, machine-learning, data, or agentic systems.
- Strong Azure architecture experience, including application hosting, identity, networking, storage, databases, logging, and deployment patterns.
- Practical knowledge of Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI or comparable model platforms, retrieval-augmented generation, embeddings, vector or hybrid search, and agent orchestration.
- Experience with APIs, data integrations, MCP or comparable tool-integration patterns, and secure connector design.
- Strong Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Entra ID, role-based access control, and Microsoft Graph understanding.
- Working proficiency in Python and the ability to review implementation code, scripts, infrastructure definitions, and technical logs.
- Experience designing secure systems with least privilege, environment separation, secrets management, audit logging, observability, and human review.
- Strong written and spoken English. You must be able to lead technical conversations with senior client executives, portfolio managers, quantitative teams, developers, and security leaders.
- Experience mentoring engineers and directing implementation without becoming a bottleneck.
Обовʼязки
- Lead Client Architecture
- Serve as the senior technical counterpart for selected hedge fund, private equity, and financial-services clients.
- Lead architecture workshops, technical discovery, design reviews, and recurring working sessions.
- Translate business priorities into practical three-to-six-month AI roadmaps and clear architecture decisions.
- Determine which ideas should be built, purchased, tested, deferred, or stopped.
- Pressure-test platform, model, retrieval, memory, integration, deployment, and operating-model choices before they become expensive to unwind.
- Convert validated proofs of concept into implementation-ready architecture, scope, assumptions, and acceptance criteria.
- Design Secure AI Systems
- Architect AI applications and agentic workflows across Azure, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Entra ID, Azure AI Foundry, approved external models, APIs, and enterprise data platforms.
- Define identity, permissions, data-access, network, secret-management, logging, audit, and human-review boundaries.
- Design scoped access patterns using Microsoft Graph and least-privilege controls, including approaches for inherited SharePoint permissions.
- Evaluate and reduce risks including prompt injection, data exfiltration, excessive agent permissions, unsafe connectors, ungoverned code execution, and weak auditability.
- Design segregated development and test environments that allow teams to move quickly without creating unnecessary production risk.
- Review architecture for production readiness, resilience, maintainability, performance, cost, and supportability.
- Lead the Architecture and Engineering Pair
- Direct AI Engineers who build prototypes, connectors, workflows, deployment patterns, and production components from your designs.
- Concentrate architecture effort early, then shift ownership toward engineering as designs stabilize.
- Review code, implementation evidence, test results, deployment plans, and technical documentation.
- Remain accountable for architecture quality while delegating work that does not require senior judgment.
- Escalate risks early and clearly when access, scope, vendor dependencies, capacity, or client decisions block delivery.
- Build Atlas's Offshore Architecture Capability
- Act as the senior architecture leader for Atlas's Ukraine-based AI team.
- Help establish the offshore AI Center of Excellence, including reference architectures, review gates, engineering standards, reusable patterns, documentation expectations, and mentoring practices.
- Mentor AI Engineers and future architects while maintaining a high bar for technical evidence and client communication.
- Work with the Principal AI Architect to assign work, review delivery quality, and reduce single-person dependencies.
- Help Atlas create a repeatable architecture-and-engineering delivery model across multiple concurrent clients.
- Design and Use the AI Lab
- Work with the Principal AI Architect and Global Head of AI & Advisory to design Atlas's AI lab, sandbox, and validation approach.
- Define test cases, pass-or-fail criteria, evidence requirements, and promotion gates for new platforms, agents, connectors, and security controls.
- Build and validate reference patterns before they reach client production environments.
- Turn lab findings into reusable architecture guidance and delivery standards.
Буде плюсом
- Experience serving hedge funds, private equity firms, asset managers, banks, or other regulated financial institutions.
- Experience with Microsoft Purview, Defender for Cloud Apps, Intune, data-loss prevention, sensitivity labels, and compliance-oriented logging.
- Familiarity with Azure Functions, Azure Container Apps, Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, Cosmos DB, Snowflake, CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Docker, and infrastructure as code.
- Experience reviewing third-party or internally developed AI applications for production readiness.
- Experience establishing an architecture practice, technical review board, Center of Excellence, or offshore engineering capability.
- Relevant Microsoft or cloud architecture certifications.
