Technical Grant Writer

We are a British—Ukrainian air defence tech company building distributed systems across the frontline. Our products are mission-critical, deeply technical solutions that directly strengthen national security. We’re now seeking a Technical Grant Writer who can understand our technology, articulate its impact, and secure funding through high-quality grant applications. This role requires analytical thinking, precision, and strong ownership of the entire grant lifecycle.

• Ability to clearly describe technological solutions, problem domains, and practical applications.

• Experience in market and competitor analysis; ability to prepare SWOT.

• Proactive communication skills and confidence working with technical experts.

• Experience preparing budgets and maintaining financial documentation for grants or projects.

• Background in preparing technical documentation and cooperation agreements.

• Strong skills in Google Docs/Sheets/Slides.

• English level B2+.

• Prepare high-quality grant applications: problem statements, technology descriptions, market analysis, and competitor research.

• Manage and support already submitted grant applications and ongoing grant projects through their lifecycle.

• Conduct competitive analysis and prepare SWOT assessments for our solutions.

• Proactively collaborate with engineering and product teams to collect technical inputs.

• Build project budgets and maintain basic financial tracking for grant activities.

• Prepare technical updates, progress reports, and presentations for grantors.

• Draft cooperation documents (including with military units) according to internal standards.

• Work daily with Google Docs, Sheets, Slides.

• Manage grant platforms, track deadlines, and ensure timely submissions.

Nice to Have

• Technical background or experience working in tech companies.

• Experience managing grants (Brave1, Horizon, USAID, etc.).

• Understanding of defense or dual-use technologies, or readiness to learn quickly.
